Quick Start: launch your store in 12 steps

From a fresh WordPress install to your first order. Most steps take a few minutes, and the Luxivia dashboard ticks them off as you go.

All documentation
  1. 1Check the basics. Open Appearance → Luxivia → System Status and fix anything marked "Fix". Luxivia needs WordPress 6.5+, PHP 8.1+ and HTTPS.
  2. 2Install WooCommerce and complete its setup wizard (store address, currency, first product type).
  3. 3Set readable permalinks: choose "Post name" in Settings → Permalinks.
  4. 4Confirm your homepage. Luxivia creates a "Home" page and sets it as the front page on activation. Check Settings → Reading shows "A static page" with Home selected.
  5. 5Add your brand: upload a logo (Customize → Site Identity) and pick colours (Customize → Site Theme Configuration).
  6. 6Create your categories as a tree, for example Sunglasses → Aviator, Cat Eye; Men → Bags, Caps.
  7. 7Add products with at least one good photo, a price, a short description and categories.
  8. 8Build your menus: a Primary Menu for the header, plus the three footer menus.
  9. 9Design the homepage: replace the hero image and text, the side cards and the benefits in Customize → Homepage Settings.
  10. 10Turn on payments and shipping in WooCommerce → Settings.
  11. 11Switch on store features such as the side cart and live search in Appearance → Luxivia → Features.
  12. 12Test like a customer: in a private browser window, browse, add to cart and place a test order (most payment plugins have a test mode). Check it on your phone too. Then purge your cache and go live.

Note: On activation Luxivia also creates About Us, Our Stores, Contact Us and Blog pages, and switches on guest checkout and account creation at checkout. You can edit or delete any of them.
