SEO, Google Shopping & social sharing
What Luxivia does for search engines, how it works with SEO plugins, and the few settings worth filling in.
All documentation
Built into the theme
- Clean structure: one H1 per page, proper heading order, descriptive image alt text (falls back to the product name).
- Product data for Google: structured data extended with all gallery images, category, brand, GTIN/barcode and your shipping and return policy.
- Category text below the product grid, and 301 redirects when categories move.
- Tidy indexing: cart, checkout, account, search results and filtered/sorted shop URLs are kept out of Google’s index.
With or without an SEO plugin
When Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO or SEOPress is active, the plugin controls titles, descriptions, social previews and sitemaps, and Luxivia steps back automatically. Without a plugin, Luxivia outputs meta descriptions, Open Graph / X cards, canonical URLs, organisation and article schema, and breadcrumbs.
Recommended setup
- 1Write a homepage hero title that names what you sell.
- 2Fill in Shipping / Returns in Customize → SEO so Google can show delivery and returns with your products.
- 3Upload a Default Social Sharing Image (1200 × 630px).
- 4Add descriptions to every category, and unique descriptions to products.
- 5Submit your sitemap in Google Search Console and connect Google Merchant Center for free Shopping listings.
Tip: Paste a product URL into Google’s Rich Results Test to confirm the product data is valid.
